THANK YOU

Congratulations to the newly elected State Councillors Glenn and Rachel, thank you for your commitment to firefighters and we look forward to welcoming you to your first scheduled formal meeting on 20 October 2022.

As a Trustee, Glenn will join the Finance Committee as we finalise the budget for the forthcoming (current financial) year while Rachel joins us as the first Retained Firefighter on Council and one of the first women to be elected to our governing body.

A most sincere thank you is also extended to candidates Jason and Matt for putting yourself forward and for your ongoing interest in and commitment to our union; we look forward to continuing to work with you in other roles.

Our union once again has reason to express our gratitude to former Secretary Paul Caica who continues to demonstrate his unwavering commitment to firefighters and good governance in our union by stepping up, in this instance in the role of Returning Officer, conducting the ballot for the casual vacancies on our State Council.

Thank you also to all members particularly those who participated in the ballot, and to all of you who continue to be active and interested in our collective endeavours which serve the interests of firefighters. There is no one person who is as strong as firies standing together.

In solidarity,

Declaration of Results E2022
