ELECTION NOTICE

UFUSA State Council

STATE COUNCIL

UNITED FIREFIGHTERS UNION OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA INC 

As the Returning Officer for the UFUSA Inc 2024 State Council Election, I hereby provide notice of the election as required by the UFUSA Inc Rules to all eligible members. 

An election for the UFUSA State Council will take place and where a ballot is required, will be conducted electronically. 

The electoral roll will close seven days before the opening of the ballot, in this case the roll of voters will close at midnight Thursday 21 March 2024 (members are advised to check that their email address and mobile phone number are up to date). 

Nominations for the following State Council elected positions will open at midnight Thursday 28 March 2024, and will be open for one month: 

  • Secretary (1) 
  • President (1) 
  • Vice President – Officers (1) 
  • Vice President – Firefighters (1) 
  • Treasurer (Trustee) (1) 
  • *Committee of Management Member – Officers (4) 
  • *Committee of Management Member – Firefighters (4) 
  • *The Member from each cohort who receives the most votes will become a Trustee. 

Nominations must be in writing, comply with the registered rules and will close at 17:00 hours Friday 26 April 2024. The nomination form is available here:

Should a Ballot(s) be required, arrangements will be in place for electronic Ballots to commence at 0900 hours Thursday 27 May 2024, closing at 0900 hours on Thursday, 27 June 2024. In accordance with the rules, only financial members may participate in a ballot. 

Further information including electronic ballot document or documents will be provided to members in accordance with the timetable detailed above.
