Members will have now received a copy of the proposed enterprise agreement, along with voting information.
We appreciate members patience whilst the agreement text has been finalised: we know that it has been frustrating. Corrections made to the draft agreement since the time it was announced that a proposal would go to ballot have significantly improved the conditions relating to public holidays, and other proposals.
Attached to the latest WordBack email are sheets demonstrating the starting and finishing wages in the pay scale for each rank and increment, and the pay rise that they represent.
The email also contains a link to the Annexure A document on health monitoring referred to in the Agreement, with some limited redactions.
Please note that I understand that a version with some corrections relating to retained firefighter rates of pay, and training pay, will be uploaded onto the platform in the very near future.
We will provide another WordBack in the near future answering some frequently asked questions about the proposed agreement, and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to speak to your shop steward, a State Council member, or the union office including myself at any time.
We also thank everyone who attended our AGM on Friday, it was a productive meeting and it was great to discuss the future of the union with passionate members.
In Solidarity,
