Members will be aware that your next 3% pay increase under our SAMFS Firefighters’ Enterprise Agreement, is due to commence on the first full pay period on or after 1 January 2024; happy new year! It is important however, to be vigilant in always checking your pay slips to ensure not only that the wage increase is paid when due, but that other entitlements such as your leave balances continue to be correctly recorded. Pay problems have escalated and despite assurances, they are continuing.
So please DO check and print out your pay advice and retain in a safe place, as it is common for the data on your pay slip to vary from one check of it to another. While it should NOT happen, our union is currently dealing with far too many instances of ‘dynamic’ pay advices and your vigilance is critical.
UNION OFFICE XMAS CLOSURE
