From everyone at the UFUSA Office, we wish you all a Merry Christmas, and extend our gratitude to those of you who are working over this period. We are always in awe your service to our communities.
Our office will close at midday today with the public holiday, and will re-open on 5 January 2026. Our phone lines will not be monitored during that period of time.

I will be on leave until mid-January, with some interruptions, but will recall myself when the enterprise agreement results are known and for other specific matters that require it.
2026 Membership subscriptions:
At the 2025 Annual General Meeting a motion was moved increasing the membership subscriptions by four percent as at first full pay period after 1 January 2026, and five percent as at first full pay period after 1 July 2026. This structure was adopted to reflect when pay rises may be payable under the enterprise agreement, if approved. For members who pay subscriptions via payroll subscription, the authority that you have provided allows the adjustment to be made without you taking any further steps. For those members who pay their fees through another method, please contact our office in the new year to make sure appropriate arrangements are in place.
Port Pirie Travel Allowance Decision:
After a significant wait we have received word that the Port Pirie Travel Allowance case decision will be released on 7 January 2026. We will distribute the decision as soon as practicable after receiving it to relevant members. Given the complexity of the case, it will likely be necessary for the union to take some time to consider the decision and its implications.
We thank members for their patience whilst this matter has been before the Court. We know its been a long haul.
