Members are advised that arrangements for an election under the Rules of the UFUSA Inc for positions on the UFUSA State Council have been made with the appointment of a Returning Officer, Mr Trevor Smith by the meeting of State Council held on 11 March 2021.
Elections are now due for all office holders in the UFUSA as follows:

Secretary (1 required)
Vice President (Firefighter) (1 required)
Vice President (Officer) (1 required)
Trustees (3 required)
State Council Members (Firefighters) (3 required)
State Council Members (Officers) (3 required)
The Returning Officer will conduct the election and as a consequence there is no formal role for the Union other than to provide this advice on behalf of the Returning Officer to all members of the UFUSA. On Monday 29 March 2021 a Wordback will be distributed with copies of the following information:

The timetable for the election is as follows:
Nominations Open Monday, 29 March 2021
Nominations Close 17:00 hours 26 April 2001
Nominations withdrawal 17:00 hours Monday 3 May 2021
Ballot Opens Monday 24 May 2021
Ballot Closes 17:00 hours 21 June 2021
The counting of the ballot is scheduled for 22 June 2021 by the Returning Officer with Scrutineers as nominated by Candidates present in accordance with the Rules.

UFUA SA Branch Election
In accordance with the UFUSA Rule changes endorsed by our 2019 AGM and subsequently certified by the SA Employment Tribunal in June 2020, this notification above addresses the election of members of the UFUSA State Council.
Those members remaining in the national union, the UFUA, will receive notification of a second election for office holders in the UFUA SA branch in the near future. No dates have yet been received for this process however we have been advised that it will be delayed due to the pandemic.
