I have accepted nominations in the above election from those people whose names are included in the above. If an office is listed as being contested, a ballot will be necessary.
A draw to determine the order in which candidates’ names will appear on the ballot papers was conducted at 148 South Road Torrensville at 10.00am on Wednesday 5th May 2021.
The voting period for the election will open on 24 May 2021 and close at 5pm ACST on 21 June 2021. Counting of votes will be held at 148 South Road Torrensville commencing at 9.00am ACST on 22 June 2021.
Candidates may appoint scrutineers to represent them during the course of the election. Any such appointment must be advised to me in writing. A form is available for this purpose and must be lodged with me by 8.00am on 21 May 2021.

MOTHERS DAY CLASSIC – IT’S THIS SUNDAY & IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO REGISTER & JOIN US
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT CHAS THOMAS
We have a long history with this great event “The Mother’s Day Classic” raising awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Research and we are calling for any last minute entries to join the team this coming Sunday .
As always, the UFU is supplying the distinctive Mother’s Day Firefighters’ T-shirts or UFU running singlets to participants (for those of you who do not already have one).
Mother’s Day Classic 2021 details:
- Sunday 9th May
- There will be a staggering of start times for participants to allow for social distancing, this allows SAMFS crews a greater opportunity to participate!
- Run or walk a variety of distances starting from Elder Park, King William Rd Adelaide.
- Join the United Firefighters Union of SA/SAMFS team
- Email your shirt sizes and your event entry receipt to info@ufusa.com.au to arrange to pick up TODAY!
TO REGISTER:
1. Log onto the Mother’s Day Classic website http://www.mothersdayclassic.com.au/
2. Click on “REGISTER NOW” and enter as an individual or family and input your details
3. IMPORTANT – On the Team tab click ‘join a team’ and search for “United Firefighters Union of SA/ SAMFS” and click continue
5. Follow the remaining instructions to complete your registration(s) to our team.
Your Team Captains this year are S/O Carly White, S/O Stefan Kirkmoe and F/F Gen Rueger who are happy to provide further information as required (Carly can be contacted on 0413 141 125).
We hope to see as many members and your families (including fur babies) at the event as possible.
